Disclaimer

  • Use of the sauna is at your own risk. If you have any concerns, consult your GP before use.
  • The following individuals should seek medical advice before using the sauna (this is not an exhaustive list):

  – Pregnant individuals.

  – Individuals who have had a heart attack or stroke.

  – Individuals taking any medications.

  – Those with cardiovascular conditions or problems.

  – Individuals with epilepsy.

  – Those with asthma or other breathing conditions.

  – Individuals with high or low blood pressure.

  – Individuals with arterial disease.

  – Those with joint or muscle injuries.

  • By booking a session, you confirm that you and your group have considered this advice and the details outlined in our Terms & Conditions.
  • Age Restrictions:

  – Children under 16 are not permitted.

  – Children aged 16+ must be accompanied by an adult (ratio: two 16+ individuals per adult).

  • A maximum of 6 persons is allowed in the sauna at any given time.
  • Liability: Highland Mobile Sauna is not responsible for damage or loss of customers’ property. Leave valuables at home.
  • If you book on behalf of a group, you are responsible for informing all users about the terms, conditions, and safe sauna usage.
  • We reserve the right to refuse entry to individuals who appear intoxicated or pose a health and safety risk. Refunds will not be provided in such cases.

Sauna Etiquette and Safe Behaviour

  • Entry & Exit:

  – Enter and exit the sauna with care.

  – Remove shoes before entering.

  • Safety Precautions:

  – The sauna is wood-fired and extremely hot. Avoid touching:

    – The stove.

    – Stove door.

    – Flu chimney.

    – Sauna rocks.

    – Surrounding fire guards.

  – Only pour water onto the stones as instructed. Pour from the farthest point first to avoid scalding.

  • Prohibited Items & Actions:

  – No alcohol or smoking in the sauna.

  – No essential oils without prior permission.

  – No jewelry or metal items (risk of burns).

  – Only swimwear is allowed; nudity is not permitted.

  • Sauna Usage Guidelines:

  – Sit on a towel at all times.

  – Duration: Do not exceed 20 minutes per session. We recommend 5-15 minutes.

  • Cold Plunge Disclaimer:

  – Using cold water for a cold plunge is at your own risk.

  – Ensure you are a capable swimmer and aware of the risks (cold temperatures, tides, rip currents, etc.).

  • If you book for a group, it is your responsibility to:

  – Inform all users about the terms and conditions.

  – Ensure everyone follows safe sauna practices.

  – Make participants aware of what to bring and other relevant information.

  • Right to Refuse Admission:

  – Admission may be refused for health & safety concerns. No refunds will be issued.

Weather Policy

  • We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to unsafe weather conditions.
  • In case of cancellation, we will contact you to reschedule your booking.
  • Your safety is our top priority.

Ash Disposal Policy

### Important Safety Information

  • Do not attempt to empty ashes yourself. If needed, contact us and we will handle it.
  • Fire and Carbon Monoxide Risks:

  – Hot and cooling ashes pose a fire and carbon monoxide hazard.

  – The stove door must remain closed until ashes are fully cooled.

  • Protective Equipment & Procedure:

  – Proper protective equipment is required, including:

    – Heat-resistant gloves.

    – Metal shovel for ash collection.

    – Eye protection.

    – Dust mask.

  – Ashes will be collected in a sealed metal ash bin.

  • End of Day Disposal:

  – At the end of each day, cooled ash will be transported home for composting, which is the safest and most environmentally friendly method.
